Wow this week was something else. Literally I have learned so much,

and unfortunately there is just no way to explain it all in an email.

This week we sang happy birthday and made a birthday cake for an

investigator and to a less active, we contacted people on the street

with a ukulele, gave service where we hauled some cubes, and biked 46

miles.

Also, being that it was Easter week, for my studies, I read what the

Savior was doing each day until his resurrection. I wish so badly that

I could have been there by His side the whole time. As missionaries we

are supposed to try to emulate all the attributes of Christ as best we

can. As I have been working on one each week, I thought for Easter

charity and love would be more fitting, since it's one that I really

want to work at. What I've learned is that love is so dang powerful.

In the most destructive and in the most wonderful way, love can

change everything for someone. Jesus Christ was the perfect example of

love. He knows each of us so perfectly because he has gone through

each sorrow and pain that we have. Despite all that He was hated and

betrayed, and yet was still able to forgive and love those who hurt

him. When I think of Jesus Christ I think of love. I am so grateful

for Him, words really can't describe. When you feel that no one

understands or if you can't see a brighter future, remember what your

facing right now has already been faced and it has been conquered. We

can look to the future with Hope because of Him.

The mission is amazing. There are always things to look forward to each and everyday.

A Personal Message Just to Mom - More Details About her Easter

Mom! Thank you for all the pictures!!! I seriously love them! It's good to hear how much fun y'all had for Easter! 

My Easter was good! We had dinner with sister Iverson, whose family was going to be gone for Easter. She gave a card with 50 dollars in it! Which was amazing because.... We needed it haha 

Also I got your package today! Thank you so much! Here's a video of me and sister Tilini who is going home next week! Transfers will be this week and I'm pretty sure sister Vaea will be transferred because she has been in the same area for 8 months. She wanted to say thank you for the gifts she got from you in the package! You're seriously the best mom ever! 

I really enjoyed this Easter because I was able to teach about Jesus Christ as opposed to just hearing about him. We are teaching an Asian family with no Christian background and we told them about the last week of Christ's life leading up to his resurrection. It was such an amazing experience. 

I really have learned so much from Him and I have so much more to learn.

Good afternoon everyone!                           3/21/16

This week was so special, especially for Lynn (that's why I'm naming

this email after her)! On Friday Lynn got baptized. This is a decision

that she has studied out for years, and finally came to the decision

of making it 3 months ago. Her story can be an example to all of us on

how important it is to be a missionary to everyone. Lynn's first

experience with the church was when she was very young and would go to

church with her aunt who was a faithful member. She loved her aunt and

the values that she lived by so much that she wanted to stay with her,

but she was unable to because she had to care for her 3 younger

sisters. As her life went on she got married and now has 3 daughters

and 13 grandchildren!

All her life she has studied the bible, has gone to a couple general conferences, and even has a family search account she's been working on. She said that the things that she has learned has helped her and her family stay united and close. The funny thing is that Lynn knew she had two neighbors who were Mormon. They have been friends for 10 years and have invited her to relief society activities, but didn't really talk about the gospel with her. Until one day their daughter gave Lynn a Book of Mormon and invited her to read it. Lynn read it and then went back and wanted to learn more. As we taught her she continued to thirst for knowledge. She read the ensigns (Church magazine), past general conference talks, and one day we came by and she told us that she had read all of preach my gospel! (That is a manual that we use to teach people!).

Lynn told us that she had always wanted to be baptized she just needed the right guidance to get there.  She knows that it takes time to get your own testimony, and she hopes that she can be the same example to the rest of her family as her Aunt was to her. Oh the best part of this story! Her Aunt is like 91 and she wanted to surprise her by bringing her Aunt to her baptism. It was such a tender reunion! And her Aunt was so happy to see her all in white. Lynn's husband Larry even came to the baptism! He isn't too thrilled about church, but he likes to see his wife happy.

Lynn is an example to me of how beautiful things come over time and through a lot of work, and even if it takes a while that doesn't mean we give up. We keep going and we can always start again, because we have a Savior. We fall and mess up time and time again, but because of Him we can be freed from our mistakes and our trials. We can look at each new day as a new beginning to our lives. There is so much good in this world. I

have seen it in people and in the work that I do. I'm so grateful for

Lynn and the decision she made and the progress that she will continue

to make.

I challenge you all to pray to find someone who is looking

for this knowledge and invite them to come to church with you or read

the Book of Mormon. You won't regret it :)

The Will of God

Hello beautiful people!

                                                                                          3/14/16

It's so nice that y'all aren't sick of my emails yet ;)

This week was just as good as the last! Despite Sister Vaea getting

sick this Wednesday :( poor girl... Sounds like she is hacking up a

lung and yet she still wants to go out and work. That is the kind of

missionary she is :) until on Friday she had pushed herself too much

she didn't even wake up....I thought she was dead, she wasn't

waking up! Just kidding, that is super dramatic but she was

pretty sick so she slept the whole day. I still went out and did

missionary work though! Thankfully we live with another set of

sisters in our apartment and Sister Chatterton had had surgery on her

toe, so she was bed ridden. Sister Tilini (Sister Chattertons

companion) and I worked each other's areas. It was awesome! And we got a lot done despite us driving back and forth to each area. So that was

pretty eventful.

Saturday will be my main topic of this email though because it was mission conference!!!! Yay! We had Elder Hamula of the 70 (name of a leadership group in our church) come and speak to us. He was going to talk with us for an hour and a half however he stopped 30 min into his talk and said, "Brothers and Sisters I do have a talk and a topic to speak with you today, however I feel like I need to open up a question and answer for you all right now." So that was way cool and way needed because there was a new rule that president came out with regarding our preparation days (P-Days). Instead of emailing the whole day, we now get an hour and a half to

email, also we have an hour to play sports, and we have to be at our

church buildings in our area. So a lot of the questions were centered

around the will of God, which I found really interesting seeing as

this has been a topic in my studies for a good month or two. What I

really liked is his process in how to change, and that is to:

1) accept that you have the agency to act and not be acted upon

2) act outwardly the way you want to be inwardly

3) avail yourself of the lords grace.

I'm really grateful for these new rules because it will make our

mission so much better. I know the Lord needs us to change some things

in order to further his work and if a little thing like this is going

to do it then I know the missionaries here and the people they teach

are going to be blessed.

In other news I am so pumped for this week!!! Lynn Egan is getting

baptized this Friday and we will be attending the temple with her

tomorrow! She is seriously my favorite. She made us homemade bread and it was delicious.
