"And this is not all. Do ye not suppose that I know of these things for myself? Behold, I testify unto you that I do know that these things I have spoken are true. And how do ye suppose that I know of their surety? 46. Behold, I say unto you they are made known unto me by the Holy Spirit of God... 48. I say unto you, that whatsoever I shall say unto you, concerning that which is to come, is true; and I say unto you, that I know that Jesus Christ shall come, yea, the Son, the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace, and mercy, and truth. And behold, it is he that cometh to take away the sins of the world, yea, the sins of every man who steadfastly believeth on his name. 49. And now I say unto you that this is the order after which I am called, yea, to preach unto my beloved brethren."
"Come unto Christ and be perfected in him and deny yourselves of all ungodliness."
This week was pretty fun! We got a lot of things done which is a good
feeling. Kevin is progressing so well. I know at the beginning I was
kind of upset because he already knew so much about the church, but it
turns out that we can teach him things, and he is learning so much!
We also picked up another investigator at a convalescent home.
is Vern, and he is so sweet. We were teaching him the restoration and
when we said that the priesthood was resorted back to the earth he
said, "wait what? It's back??" And we said "yes it was brought
through Joseph Smith" and he said "oh that's wonderful!" He said
he wanted to be baptized too he is seriously so cool and he gets it!
We also picked up two new investigators, Ben and Phil, we met
tracting, and he... Well he's an interesting fellow but he said that
he did want to be apart of our church so we'll see where it goes! Phil
is really cool, he is going to be working on praying more, but he
knows he needs God more in his life. Gigi and Justine are doing well, they went to a
baptism this week, I think it's just eliminating the fear that they have now. So there
is the update on the people we are
We did go to a training meeting this week, and
say that we need to do language study just in case we get transferred
to a language speaking area. So that has been interesting, our only
question is which language do we study? Haha Spanish? Armenian?
Korean? Or Chinese? Maybe we will just learn all of them! Hahaha gift
of tongues is really going to have to come through for us! Haha wish
Take care all! Love you!
Here are some pics of my lovely Glendale. This week I decided to
actually take pics of all the cool artsy walls. So here we go-
Happy New Years! Its only day four of 2016! Can you believe it!!
going by so fast already! ;) haha, nah just kidding. This year
been great so far though!
This week was interesting. I reflected a lot on good ol’ 2015
and I am
not gonna lie, it was a great year; one that will probably make
books as one of my most favorite years of my life. Besides
raddest people ever at BYUI, and all the adventures I had with
and getting my mission call, and actually starting my mission,
my favorite year, because I personally found how to come closer
Jesus Christ. There were many things that I struggled with
coming out on my mission, as everyone does, but I am so happy
know how to handle those struggles now, and it’s so easy to get
through! It’s because of Him :) Every progression I make in my
give all credit to Him, because I am weak and I would be so lost
without Him. So I am here on my mission for Him, and there is a
really like that I recently heard, "This is the beginning
of a new
day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it-
use it for good, but what I do today is important because, I am
exchanging a day of my life for it! When tomorrow comes this day
be gone forever, leaving in its place something I have traded
I want it to be gain and not loss; good and not evil; success
failure, so that I shall not regret the price that I have paid
it." (Dr. H. Wilson)
Each day that we live is precious, it is a gift, and I am not
going to waste it worrying about the past or the future.I am going to be learning from the past,
working hard now, to reach my goal for my future.
Some updates on my lovely Glendale 2nd area- transfer calls were
Saturday and Sister Ballard and I will be staying here another
transfer. I’ve been in Glendale as long as I have been out.
giving Maria a break :( We'll see how she’s doing in a couple of
Kevin is still amazing! He bore his testimony at church so that
good and fun... he mainly just gave an announcement about his
in two weeks because we had to move it for his surgery and sat
so we'll work on that one with him :) Gigi and Justine are doing
great! They've been willing to attended some other baptisms, and
think we are making some progress on their concerns to be
