Good afternoon people,
This week was good! A little crazy, with some crazy people, but
that
is what makes it fun! So we had a missionary broad cast this
week and
it was sooo good! Missionaries from around the world were all
watching
a broadcast put on by the leaders of our church. I learned so
much and
I would send you all my notes, but I don't think many of you
would
enjoy that. So over all what I really got the most from the
broadcast
is that this church and the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about
change, and I knew, but learned more about how that change can
not
occur in someone if they do not accept the spirit into their
hearts to
change them. I can do all that I can as a missionary to bring
the
spirit into their homes and lives but it won't have any effect
if they
do not except it into their hearts.
So we had an investigator (who shall not be named) who had a
life
changing experience this past week. She had a major heart attack
that
sent her to the hospital. We went to the hospital to go see her
and
she said she was going to leave the next day, but that she
wanted to
tell us It was kind of funny. She told us about all these weird
hallucinations about rings. She said the rings had words on them
like
honor and respect and she told us that she now realizes that
those
words were God describing her. This is just one example of the
many
stories our investigators like to tell us. You got to love
people here
though, they always make us smile, and surprise us.
It would be easy to give up on an investigator like this. I
wouldn't
have to stress out about the crazy decisions that they are
making in
their lives, however this investigator has the strongest desire
to
change that I have ever seen in anyone. And it's going to take
time
and hard work, but as long as I am trying my best, and the
investigator is trying their best, than Jesus Christ will make
up the
rest.
Love you all hope you're doing well!
Sister Plumb
