Hey all!
This week was not too shabby!
It rained for half the week, and I even made Sister Gong bike in
it
for a little while haha she did not like me after that! It was
hard to
find people because of the rain and I guess the doors we knocked
on
were just not sympathetic to soaking wet missionaries in their
house.
Oh well what can you do? Well we learned Chinese and English!
Sister
Gong is super adorable. English is so difficult but she is
trying so
hard! I sneezed the other night and she said, excuse me. We were
also
watching a Joseph Smith video and she said, I love you Joseph Smith.
And then when we were walking and I asked her if she liked music
she
said I love you music!
I love my companion so much and though it's so hard to talk with
each
other and communicate I learn that there is one language that we
all
speak and that is service. Everyday this week I looked for every
possible way I could serve my companion, to make her feel
comfortable
about English work and the language. It worked too! We were both
smiling and having fun, understanding that these acts show each
other
that we love each other. I'm so grateful for the Savior and his
perfect example of service and charity. I love what Sister
Marriot
said in the women's general broadcast, "Love is making
space in your
life for someone else." I hope we all can follow the Savior’s
example
this week and serve those around us, whether a neighbor, a
family
member or stranger, everyone is going through something and can
always
benefit from the love that comes through service.
