The miracle is that Regan came to church! Yes! Finally. The
interesting part was that it was a special stake conference for
us
because our stake presidency was being released, but she still
wanted
to come! She insisted on coming actually. She knew she needed to
go
for a while, and in the end she said she was really glad she
went.
The other miracle is Jonathan. He is practically a member, he's
been
going to church since he was six, but his mom will not let him
get
baptized. So he's turning 18 in August and he will be baptized
in that
same week! I hope Sister Gong and I stay, well Sister Gong will
go
home right before he turns 18 but hopefully she will stay long
enough
to teach him. He has been waiting to be baptized for so long
now. He
said that once he is baptized it will be the most freeing
experience
that he will have. And it's true. For people who aren't in
Jonathan's
position too, baptism is literally freeing you from all the
pain,
regret and sorrow that we feel on this earth. It helps us see
the good
in everything and everyone, we understand who we are, and why we
are
here, and where we need to get to, and so much more! Though
hardships
don't ever go away when we are baptized we receive added
strength in
so many different ways to help us overcome each obstacle.
I'm so very grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who sent us a
Savior, Jesus Christ to make this all possible for us. We can receive
confidence and faith through the Saviors example to be free from the worries of
life.
So ya, if you haven't been baptized I highly I recommend it. And
I'm
not just saying that because I'm a missionary, I'm saying that
on my
experience and through the experiences of others.
Love y'all! Have a great week!
Love,
Sister
Plumb
